The Earthrealm has been facing trials for millennia. Powerful armies from the outside worlds rush to Earth with the ambition to conquer it. Once every hundred years, a tournament is held where the best fighters from all the claiming worlds compete with the earth's power to defeat it. The initiates in the mystery of the worlds send their fighters where to eliminate each other, in an epic martial competition. Although it is spectacular, the hardships are not limited to one tournament. The leaders of the worlds very often organize intrigues and clashes in which the armies of the worlds become entangled.The three ninjas Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Noob-Saibot are now involved in such an intrigue. The magician Quan chii and the clan leader Lin Quei will resurrect the mighty Lord Shinok. His appetites for Earthrealm are just as ambitious as those of Shai Kahn.Oniro orders them a task, but it is deceptive and aims to eliminate Shinok's opponents.
